Dr. Michael Juarez, Psy.D.
President/CEO Director of Clinical Training
Dr. Michael has been with the Alternative Action Program (AAP) since 2007 and has served as the Executive Director since 2010. In this role, he has been instrumental in designing the agency’s structure and operations, ensuring its effectiveness in serving clients.
Dr. Michael earned his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from California Lutheran University, an APA-accredited institution. His dissertation focused on assessing AAP clients undergoing treatment through The Matrix Model and Moral Reconation Therapy, evaluating their respective impacts on recidivism.
He completed both his APA-accredited pre-doctoral and post-doctoral internships with an emphasis on holistic, whole-health services for children, adolescents, and adults, with a strong commitment to cultural diversity and inclusion. Dr. Michael specializes in adolescent early intervention for psychosis and received his residency and specialized training at the Institute for Multicultural Counseling and Education Services in Los Angeles, California.
